Prof Thierry Lacombe is Professor at Montpellier SupAgro. He was previously Research Engineer at INRA Montpellier. He also works at the ampelographic collection of Domaine de Vassal, near Montpellier.
Vinifera Teaching: Within the Vine Biology module, he teaches on Ampelography and Grapevine Genetic Resources. Students regularly make use of the experimental vineyard on campus.
Research Interests: Thierry is specialist in grapevine identification, diversity studies, genealogy of grape cultivars. His research includes the preservation of grape genetic resources, collections, and selection.
