Erika Mangili André, a seasoned Agronomist, holds a Master’s Degree in Soil Science and Plant Nutrition and a Ph.D. in Plant Production. She has been a key contributor to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in Brazil since 2004. Her diverse roles have included oversight of wine production inspections in Brazil.
In 2014, Erika embarked on her Vinifera journey at Montpellier Supagro, with her M2 studies taking place at the Università Degli Studi di Udine, Italy. Following this, she spent the past two years at the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) at FAO in Rome, Italy. Currently, back at the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in Brazil, Erika is focused on international trade in agrifood products.
Graduating in 2016, Erika’s master thesis, titled “Wine in Brazil and Italy: a comparison between legislations and other mechanisms of official control,” provides a comprehensive insight into the regulatory landscapes of both countries.
As an Agricultural Inspector at the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in Brazil, Erika actively contributes to the inspection and regulation of wine production. Her work is crucial in the context of international trade agreements involving Brazil and the intricacies of wine legislation.
