Aneliya Pavlova

Aneliya Pavlova completed her Bachelor studies in Plant Protection from the Agricultural University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and a post-graduate specialization in Integrated Pest Management in Italy.

Graduating in 2015 with M2 studies at Hochschule Geisenheim University, Germany, Aneliya’s master thesis, “Efficacy of insecticides against different developmental stages of the spotted wing drosophila, Drosophila suzukii Matsumura,” underscores her commitment to innovative research.

Currently, Aneliya is an integral part of the team managing vineyards, olive groves, and the winery at Tenuta Lenzini in Tuscany, Italy. Additionally, she contributes to her partner’s family-owned vineyards, winery, and olive groves in the hills of Lucca. Previously, she worked as a vineyard agronomist in South Bulgaria.

Reflecting on the impact of the Vinifera program on her career, Aneliya attests to the solid foundation it provided and the high recognition of such education among employers. She values the established contacts and future collaborations fostered by the program. Notably, the diverse perspectives encountered during the master’s course, with teachers from around the world, contributed significantly to her professional growth, fostering an open-minded approach to vineyard and winery management.
