Prof Dr Rainer Jung is Vice Chair of the Institute of Enology, at Hochschule Geisenheim University, Germany.
Rainer obtained his Ph. D. Programme at the Institut of Viticulture, Grapevine Breeding and Wine Technology. He has has worked as Research Scientist, for Geisenheim Research Center, Enology Section. He has held the role of Vice Chair of the Enology section in Geisenheim Research Center since 2003, and Associate Professor in Enology at the University of Applied Sciences, Wiesbaden since 2010.
Rainer contributes to the study programmes in Viticulture and Enology, International Wine business, Beverage technology, Food chain management and Food Safety. He teaches in the Vitis-Vinum programme (Bachelor, Master) at Hochschule Geisenheim University, the University of Applied Sciences Wiesbaden/Geisenheim, and also at Justus-Liebig-University Giessen. He lectures in Sensory analysis, Wine Sensory Analysis and Evaluation, and Advanced Enology.
