Dr A Schneider

Dr Anna Schneider is a researcher at the National Research Council of Italy, Institute for Sustainable Plant Protection (CNR-IPSP), in Turin (Italy).

She has lectured in Ampelography at the University of Turin for more than 25 years.

Vinifera Teaching:  Anna participates in the Vine Biology module. She teaches on Botany & Ampelography, including on Vitis vinifera varieties.

Research interests:

Her activity currently focuses on grapevine genetic resources (wild and cultivated) and includes genotype characterization by plant morphology and molecular markers, varietal identification, cultivar origin and parentage studies.  She also researches the recovery and conservation of threatened grapevines, exploitation of lesser and poorly known traditional cultivars.
